Every device has its own lifespan, they don’t last forever. If we talk about laptops, they generally last between four to six years before needing and Laptop Repair Services or replacement.   • Power Surges: Power surges can occur due to lightning strikes or sudden restoration of power. It can lead to data loss, damage to your computer’s motherboard.
  • Ventilation: Overheating can cause damage to your device. Don’t block the ventilation of your laptop. If the ventilation is blocked, it causes overheating which increases the speed of the fan and create more noise as well as damage your fan as well as other parts of your laptop. Never put your laptop on the bed surface, couch or lap.
  • Outdated Software: If your device is running on outdated software then it will start working slowly. This also restricted you to use new features. You should update your software applications regularly.
  • Battery: If you allow your laptop’s batteries to run out before charging it, this will definitely damage your battery. Once your battery is damaged, you have to buy a new one.
  • Dust: Avoid using your laptop in dusty places. It is true that there is no such a place where you didn’t find a bit of dust. Dust usually blocks the ventilation and creates overheating. You should always clean your laptop; you can remove the dust by using a blower.
  • Cables: Loose cables can affect your laptop. You should always fix loose cables before they create any problem.
  • Physical Damage: If your keys are not working or your screen is cracked, you should always fix these otherwise it can affect the overall performance of your laptop.

 

Some techniques for increasing the lifespan of your device.

  • Usage patterns: The life of your laptop usually depends upon what kind of task you are performing with your laptop. If you are using your device for simple tasks likes creating spreadsheets, making PowerPoint presentations then your laptop can work for several years. But if you are using your laptop for more powerful applications like gaming etc then your device may wear out early.
  • Hardware: Generally laptop dies due to hardware problems. The very first part which wears off is the hard drive of your laptop. If your hard drive is showing error you should run to a good Laptop Repair Service, they can solve fix this issue before your hard drive completed damaged.
  • Software: Always update your software. It will not only protect your laptop but also allows you to use new features. Outdated software applications are harmful to the laptop.
  • Maintenance: If you use your laptop properly, your laptop lasts for several years. You should always use your laptop on a flat surface for full ventilation. Always carry your laptop in a good quality bag while traveling from protecting it from any kind of damage. Always install a good antivirus in your device.
